Third Coasting is an original tune written in deference to this metropolis that I love; Chicago. Coasting implies ease and momentum and this waltz meter piece flows with the feel of a blues.

The title also references the album East Coasting by Charles Mingus and also to Chicago, Illinois.

It falls in the first chapter of the recording called The Straightaway that is set in the present; the here and now.
